Six more Russian citizens have been added to Latvia's list of personae non gratae, Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs announced March 23.

The action was taken for the individuals' support for Russia's aggression against Ukraine, he said. The ban will last indefinitely, and comes just two days after 25 individuals were named on a previous update to the entry blacklist.

"The said persons representing the field of entertainment and culture have expressed their active political support for the continuing aggression directed by Russia’s authorities against Ukraine. The individuals put on the persona non grata list have been publicly justifying and propagating the unprovoked and unjustified Russia’s invasion of, and war in Ukraine," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The following persons have been included in the persona non grata list:

- Timur Yunosov

- Maria Shukshina

- Mikhail Boyarsky

- Sergey Bezrukhov

- Igor Ugolnikov

- Yulia Chicherina

Those included on the list Wednesday included many well-known political and cultural figures including renowned orchestral conductor Valery Gergiev, boxer Victor Polyakov and singer Polina Gagarina.

Earlier in the month three members of the Russan embassy staff in Rīga were expelled, as previously reported by LSM.
