Survey suggests prevailing disappointment with Siliņa's government

According to a survey conducted by the pollster SKDS on the order of "What is happening in Latvia" (KNL) broadcast of Latvian Television, a negative assessment of the current Prime Minister Evika Siliņa's (New Unity) government prevails.

33% of respondents surveyed said Siliņa's government has performed worse than expected in the first three months of its activities. Meanwhile, nearly 42% of those surveyed said the government of Evika Siliņa, formed after the resignation of longtime Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš, had been working “about as expected.”

Only 5.3% of a total of 1,009 respondents believe the Siliņa government has been doing better than expected. Nearly a fifth, or 19.9% of respondents, chose the “hard to say” answer.

The most satisfied with the government's work are those respondents who at the Saeima elections in October 2022 voted for Siliņa's political force New Unity.

It has already been reported that another survey showed that 40.7% of voters are more disappointed than they are happy with their choice in parliamentary elections.
