Week will get much warmer in Latvia

In the second half of this week, the weather will become considerably warmer in Latvia, according to forecasts.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be more clouds in Latvia, with some slight precipitation expected – both rain and wet snow. The air temperature in Latvia will be within +3 to +8 C in the afternoons, but some frost is still expected in many places at night.

The first half of the week will see slow to moderate southeastern and southern winds.

From Thursday, the wind will turn in from the southwest, get gustier, and bring warmer air

Frost is no longer expected at night in the second half of the week. The minimum temperature will be mostly within +3 C to +8 C, but in the afternoons +7 C to +13 C, Friday and Saturday for places in Zemgale and Latgale even up to +15 C, while Kurzeme's west coast will be cooler at around +5 to +6 degrees.

Some rain is also expected at times over the weekend, but the sun will also shine. A new country-wide maximum temperature record for these dates may also be reached on Friday and Saturday.
