Crown the summer with a music festival
The rather scenic ZUNDA dārzs is hosting the Ezīšfestivāls, organized by the bar Ezītis Miglā, with numerous Latvian acts and DJs in what promises to be a great way to top off the summer.

Documentary festival
Prior to the upcoming 2017 Riga International Film Festival, the smaller but no less important Baltic Sea Docs film fest is taking place as well, from September 2 to September 10.
The Bikes vs. Cars film will open the festival at an open air-screening on Kalnciema street.

Modern Theater Festival Homo Novus
Also on September 1 the Homo Novus modern theater festival is starting. It will run through September 9 and open the season with works that are "bold and alive, containing great energy and having potential to create a space for conversations, encounters and experiences impossible to discover elsewhere."
