Last week, a total of 706 patients approached general practitioners with acute symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection, 45 of whom had been diagnosed with “influenza” based on a typical clinical picture.
Cases have been recorded in Ventspils, Liepāja, Rīga, Daugavpils, Rēzekne, and Valmiera.
The highest incidence was recorded in the 0-4 age group.
The number of Covid-19 cases continues to decrease – 8 laboratory-confirmed cases (a week ago 20) were detected, and a total of 534 (previously 577) laboratory tests have been performed for the presence of SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Nine Covid-19 patients are in hospital (18 last week).
Three deaths of Covid-19 patients were recorded last week (a week earlier - 3).
