Watch: Experts discuss Latvia's foreign policy priorities

The Latvian Institute for International Affairs (LIIA) recently launched its 2019 Foreign and Security Policy Yearbook, in cooperation with the Parliament of the Republic of Latvia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung.

Participants include Andris Sprūds, Director of the Latvian Institute of International Affairs and Professor at the Riga Stradiņš university, Artis Dobulis, Project manager at the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Latvia, Rihards Kols, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Saeima, and Andris Pelšs, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia.

A discussion involves Inna Šteinbuka, Member of the Fiscal Discipline Council and Professor at the University of Latvia,
Toms Rostoks, Professor at the University of Latvia and Researcher at the Centre for Security and Strategic Research of the National Defence Academy of Latvia, Una Aleksandra Bērziņa-Čerenkova, Head of the New Silk Road Programme (LIIA) and China Studies Centre at the Riga Stradiņš university and the hosts are Sintija Broka, Researcher at the Latvian Institute of International Affairs, and Ansis Bogustovs, Journalist, Host of the Foreign Policy Discussion Programme at RigaTV24.

The publication itself is available to download from the LIIA website, though at present only in Latvian. The English version is currently being translated and should be available in around a month's time. We'll let you know when it arrives.
