Located at Satekles Street 2, this weekend the newly-opened facility "will provide free charging and treat the owners of electric cars with coffee," the company promises in a press releases.
The location is equipped with two charging stations: one offers ultra-fast charging of up to 320 kW, which allows to load the charge required for a distance of 150 km in five minutes, provided that the car is able to accept this power, while the other - 40 kW is suitable for more leisurely charging and is able to provide the charge required for a distance of 150 km in 40 minutes.
"This is already the 16th service station of ours to offer electric car charging capabilities, and the most powerful of all with the ability to test your car's charging abilities by charging with a 320 kW CCS plug. We look forward to seeing electric car owners this Saturday and Sunday to test the new option for free," said the company's Sustainability Project Manager Anrijs Tukulis.
Virši currently provides 50 charging ports throughout Latvia, abd plans to open five more by September. The expansion of the electric car charging network is part of Virši's cooperation with the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency.
