Chilly weekend precursor to hot week in Latvia

This weekend in Latvia will be chilly, with rain and hail throughout the country, but next week will begin with the warmest weather of the year so far, according to forecasts by LSM's weatherman Toms Bricis.

On Friday, rain will pour throughout Latvia, especially in Vidzeme, Kurzeme and Zemgale. Latgale will also get some rain in the evening. Temperatures will range between +7 C and +13 C, around +10 C in Rīga.

Saturday will bring less rain, but it will still fall from place to place, along the coast in the morning and in the east in the evening. It will be cool, with temperatures around +5 C to +10 C. Sunday will no longer be rainy, except along the coast in the afternoon. Temperatures will range between +7 C and +13 C.

Next week promises to be the hottest since the start of the year, with temperatures rising above +20 already on Monday.
