The website TasteAtlas has ranked Latvian cuisine among one of the worst in Europe, and Latvian traditional sklandrausis – a potato and carrot filling on rye base – the fifth most untasty food in the world. While experts question the objectivity of this judgment, the tourism industry plans to use the publicity, Latvian Television's "Culture Shock" reports.
