Projected onto the facade of the Cabinet of Ministers building of Brivibas boulevard, the “Story of the Coat of Arms of Latvia” tells of the third national symbol besides the Latvian flag and the national anthem.
Because the facts behind the creation and development of the national coat-of-arms are little known, the State Chancellery worked with experts in the field of heraldry to create a video animation set to music that relates the history in an easy-to-understand way.
Now the Chancellery has released the video, subtitled for English-language readers, so the world can learn about Latvia’s coat-of-arms, too! Watch another brief clip on how the government building was illuminated below.
