The Dukurs brothers Martins and Tomass won medals again at this year’s European Skeleton Championship, adding to their already triumphant record as skeleton racers – Martins came in first at the championships in France, while Tomass won a third bronze medal to add to his two silvers.

In the Skeleton World Cup standings Martins Dukurs stands overall in first place and Tomass follows him in second.

Martins and Tomass Dukurs took the first two podium places in the opening three Skeleton WC stages this season, as Martins triumphed in five of the season's six Skeleton WC stages this season.

Martins is currently also the five-time defending Skeleton World Cup champion, while Tomass finished in overall second place at the past two Skeleton World Cups.

To fuel the legend of the Dukurs dynasty, last season Martins won seven out of eight Skeleton World Cup stages, while Tomass finished in the top three seven times. At the 2014 Sochi Olympic, Martins won the silver medal, while Tomass finished in fourth place.
