"Biļešu serviss" said in a statement to the media that its competitors' offer was unreasonably cheap. In the opinion of the company, the National Culture Center has mistakenly evaluated the financial offer of "Biļešu paradīze" and did not provide SIA "Biļešu serviss" with information about the evaluation of its offer in terms of the quality criteria of the most economically advantageous procurement.
"The offer of the winner of the competition is unreasonably cheap, several services are offered for EUR 0.00, not taking into account the costs of personnel or technical support," Līga Rubine, a member of the board of SIA "Biļešu serviss" said.
The company has asked UIB to cancel the tender results and re-evaluate the submitted offers.
The XXVII General Latvian Song and XVII Dance Festival will be held in Rīga from June 30 to July 9, 2023.
"Biļešu paradīze" was also entrusted with the sale of tickets for the previous Song and Dance Festival in 2018. That proved to be a problematic decision as the festival organizers eventually filed a lawsuit against "Bilešu Paradise" because they believed that the festival ticket seller violated the terms of the contract by charging an additional fee for buying tickets on the Internet. Later, a settlement was reached, according to which "Bilešu paradīze" reimbursed the organizers of the festival 76,500 euros. Despite this, the company successfully bid for the tender to provide ticketing services for this year's festival.
