Latvia's national men's soccer team is riding high after two wins from two in the UEFA Nations League tournament.

The men in claret followed up a 3:0 win against Andorra on Friday with a 1:0 win against Liechtenstein Monday to give them a maximum 6 points which puts them at the top of Group D.

However, after two matches at home, things promise to get tougher with away games against Moldova and again Liechtenstein in the next week.

Head coach of the national team Dainis Kazakevičs expressed satisfaction with the performance of the national team after the match with Liechtenstein.

Striker Roberts Uldriķis was happy with the games so far, but said there was still room for improvement.  "Six points at home, fantastic support from the spectators, we really appreciated it," he told LTV.

This is the third season of the UEFA Nations League. The best team from Group D at the end of the tournament will get the right to compete in the higher Group C in the next tournament.
