Latvian luge legends brothers Šics' careers reach finish line

Latvia's famous luge duo Andris and Juris Šics have decided to end their professional athletic careers, said the Latvian Luge Federation (LKSF) on April 19.

In their careers, the brothers participated in five Winter Olympics and won three Olympic medals, as well as numerous high rankings at world and European championships.

In February, at the Beijing Winter Olympic Games, the Šics duo finished 5th. The first Olympic medals were won in 2010 Vancouver, followed by more in Sochi 2014.

LKSF thanked Šics for their work and their love for luge sports.
