Skujiņš retains polka dot jersey

Latvia's Toms Skujiņš retained the famous polka dot jersey of the the King of the Mountains after stage 6 of the Tour de France July 12 and will wear it again on July 13.

With 6 points in the best climber classification, Skujiņš is 2 points ahead of Sylvain Chavanel and Dion Smith.

Overall, he is in 115th position, 20 minutes behind the leaders.

Stage 7 is the longest of the entire tour at 231 kilometers. However, it is is pretty flat, meaning Toms has a good chance of retaining the jersey again before the climbers' battle really takes off in the more mountainous stages.

UPDATE: Toms did indeed retain the polka dot jersey and wears it again on stage 8.
