LIAA cites data from the Central Statistics Bureau (CSB) which show that in 2023, the USA ranked seventh internationally in terms of the number of guests received in Latvian tourist accommodation, with 56,400 guests coming from the USA.
"Compared to 2022, the number of guests from the USA has increased by almost 45% in the past year," said LIAA Tourism Department Director Inese Šīrava.
Recently, the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIAA) has joined the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA), which unites 143 brands and members who annually provide tours and travel packages to more than 6 million travelers worldwide.
Membership in the USTOA will provide access to various webinars and networking events, and LIAA will be included in the 2025 USTA Business Representative List, which will be distributed to over 80,000 travel agents in North America.
