Five Latvian startups on show at TechChill Milano

Five Latvian startups to watch will attend TechChill Milano, which will be held from September 25-27 in Milan, Italy. Participants are invited to meet the startups at the "Latvia's startup frontiers meet Italy" side-event, which is being sponsored by the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) at 16:00 on September 25 at Cascina Triulza in Milan, organizers said.

TechChill, the Baltic-born startup conference, is returning to Milan for the second time where, as part of the rapidly growing Baltic startup scene, Latvia's startups are able to share their unique perspective with Italian startups and investors.

The five Latvian companies  include:

  • ATOM Tech – a platform to launch and scale micro-mobility platforms with a focus on three core verticals - vehicle sharing (scooters, bikes, cars, mopeds, etc.), digital rental (long-term car rental) and ride-hailing (digital taxi and on-demand services).

  • Longenesis – a leading secondary health data and RWE ecosystem in the EMEA region and beyond, bringing together Life Science companies with healthcare institutions and patients to support novel drug and therapies-to-market.

  • Cellbox Labs – a biotech startup that has developed unique organ-on-a-chip technology to help develop drugs faster and more effective.

  • BirgerMind - a stand-alone hardware and software platform, which allows fully paralysed patients to write messages  with closed eyes, independently access social networks and news, generate speech, call for help, manage various applications on daily basis both indoors and outdoors.

  • Swotzy - a SaaS shipping software that empowers eCommerce businesses to optimise their shipping strategies, choosing the best-fit carriers for deliveries without having to navigate complex contracts, integrations, and relationships.

The event will also showcase stories from the Latvian startup community and how they build the ecosystem to strengthen its competitiveness globally. TechChill was originally held in Riga, Latvia in 2012. Having grown the event to 2500+ attendees, the event played a major role in putting the Baltic ecosystem on the European map. After celebrating 10 years of the event, TechChill stepped out of its Latvian borders.
