Aigars Gerhards, CEO of the Zunda Towers project developer 'Towers Construction Management', told LETA that this would be one of the largest commercial area transactions in the Baltics.
“If there is a buyer who is willing to pay the named price, then legal formalities could be settled pretty quickly,” Gerhards said.
Asked if plans announced by Towers Construction Management a year ago to build another, third tower at the complex had not been abandoned, Gerhards said work on this construction intention was still ongoing and the necessary reconciliation procedure was underway.
Conversely, if a buyer is found at Zunda Towers during this time and the owner changes, further progress with the third high-rise will depend on the new owner's plans, Gerhards added.
The high-rise buildings of the Zunda towers were commissioned in January 2020. The total investment in the complex amounted to EUR 200 million.
The developer of the project, Towers Construction Management, is Russian businessman Yuri Shefler's company. Shefler's core business is the production and distribution of alcoholic beverages.
The Zunda Towers complex has a total area of about 90,000 square meters, with apartments and office space, while the first five floors of the building connecting the two towers have restaurants planned, and rooms for conference halls, cafes, and commercial areas. A fitness center and a 25-meter pool with a relaxation and spa area are also expected.
