Take note – story published 3 years ago

Limitations on  sales of goods during weekends have shortcomings, and Economics Ministry intends to correct them in the near future, Minister Jānis Vitenbergs told Latvian Television December 4.

He said that, for example, the prohibition to sell car oil or antifreeze on weekends, and other items needed for vehicle maintenance and safety, should be revised.

Not allowing to sell the electronic bus ticket e-talons on weekends is also a shortcoming, he said.

The Economics Ministry is planning to propose corrections on the inconsistencies in the coming days.

As reported, government has decided to only allow sales of food products, medicine, certain hygiene products and fuel on the weekends and on holidays.
