Output rise was recorded in manufacturing (of 7.5 %) as well as mining and quarrying (of 0.7 %). In electricity and gas supply there was a drop of 11.1 %.
In May of this year, industrial production output upturn was registered in 17 manufacturing sectors out of 22, including in the manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations, manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers, and semi-trailers (of 22.4 %), manufacture of beverages (21.9 %), manufacture of wearing apparel (20.5 %), as well as printing and reproduction of recorded media (15.8 %). Output rise was registered also in two out of three sectors having the largest share in manufacturing: manufacture of food products and manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment (of 2.6 % and 5.7 %, respectively).
Industrial production output decline, in turn, was observed in the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products (of 17.3 %), repair and installation of machinery and equipment (14.4 %), manufacture of machinery and equipment (6.5 %), as well as manufacturing sector having the largest share in total manufacturing – manufacture of wood and cork articles, except furniture (1 %).
Compared to April 2022, in May 2022 industrial production output grew by 0.2 % (according to seasonally adjusted data at constant prices).
