Ticket sales begin for Rīga–Vilnius train

On Monday, ticket sales begin on the new Rīga-Vilnius passenger train route, which will be provided by Lithuanian railway company LTG Link.

A passenger train between the capital cities of Latvia and Lithuania will run daily; the first journey is planned for December 27. A standard ticket for a trip from Rīga to Vilnius will cost €24.

The train journey between the two capitals is expected to take about 4 hours and 15 minutes.

The train will leave Vilnius at 6:30 am every day, and arrive at Rīga Central station at 10:43. The train will depart at 15:28 from Rīga and arrive in Vilnius at 19:51.

Passenger transport will be carried out on a Pesa 730 ML diesel train. The train has 142 seats for passengers and 4 stands for bicycles.

Ticket sales will begin at 13:30 on December 18. Passengers will be able to choose standard and first-class tickets.
