Driving is difficult on the country's main roads A1, A2, A3, A4, A6, A7, A8, A9, A10, A12, A13, A14, A15, and P80. On regional roads, conditions are poor everywhere except around Bauska, Kuldīga, Tukums, and Ventspils.
On 80 sections of gravel roads, a tonnage limit has been placed to avoid damaging the road. The map of those roads is available here.
