WATCH: Latest OECD economic survey of Latvia

April 25 sees the presentation of the latest Economic survey of Latvia by the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). Latvia became a full member of the OECD in 2016.

Secretary General of the OECD Mathias Cormann and representatives of the OECD Economics Department will make a special visit to Latvia to present the latest Economic Report on Latvia in person, as well as introduce the recommendations made in the report for the further development of Latvia's economy.

Minister of Economy Viktors Valainis will also take part in the presentation of the economic report, which evaluates Latvia's economic situation. In accordance with OECD practice, this type of report on OECD member countries is published every two years. 

The new Economic Review for Latvia will be published on the OECD website shortly after the presentation event.

The presentation of the OECD Economic Report on Latvia will take place in two parts:

  • In part I, at 10.00 - 10.50, OECD Secretary General M. Kormans and Minister of Economy V. Valainis will deliver speeches.
  • In part II, at 11:20 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., there will be a discussion of OECD experts and representatives of Latvia on the main conclusions and recommendations of the Economic Review for promoting the further growth of Latvia's economy.
