Baiba Braže on Swedish trip

On 10 June 2024, Latvia's Minister for Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, is on a working visit to Sweden.

While on the other shore of the Baltic Sea, Braže is meeting with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden, Tobias Billström, representatives of the Parliament of Sweden and attending the traditional Monday Meeting in Stockholm's Norrmalmstorg Square, where she will deliver a speech in support of Ukraine together with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden.

"Baiba Braže will discuss bilateral and regional cooperation on security and economic issues, the situation in and support for Ukraine, as well as NATO, the European Union and other international matters with Swedish government officials," said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Minister will meet with foreign ambassadors accredited to Latvia and residing in Sweden to discuss bilateral cooperation and Latvia's candidacy to the UN Security Council (2026–2027).

She will also lay flowers at the resting place of Voldemārs Salnais (1886–1948), the former Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador of Latvia to Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
