Ballots can be submitted for safe-keeping at 58 polling stations as of today, enabling people to vote early or make sure they exercise their mandate if they are otherwise occupied on Saturday.
Ballot papers can be submitted for safe-keeping from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m. on Thursday, and on 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday. The polling stations where ballots can be submitted for safe-keeping are located in municipalities with at least 7,500 eligible voters.
On the election day polling stations will be open for voters between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m.
The general elections in Latvia will take place on October 6 in 954 polling stations in Latvia and 121 polling stations in 45 other countries.
