The government's meetings on Covid-19 related issues will be open to public in the future, Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš said on Twitter February 15.

“In order to strengthen the transparency of decisions and to raise public awareness of the progress of their adoption, future government meetings which address restrictions, support measures and vaccination issues related to the Covid-19 pandemic will be open,” wrote Kariņš.

Until now, issues related to Covid-19 have been decided in closed meetings.

This decision still needs to be adopted by the Saeima.
