New Estonian president introduces herself

Estonia's new President Kersti Kaljulaid came to Latvia Thursday for her second official foreign trip, immediately after visiting her Finnish counterpart in Helsinki - the traditional first stop for Estonian presidents.

After arriving in Riga Thursday evening, Kaljulaid was greeted by Latvian President Raimonds Vejonis at Riga Castle where she signed her name in the guest book. See it happen below.

Friday morning they will get together again for a joint press conference.

As previously reported by LSM, Kaljulaid was the surprise winner of a protracted electoral process in Latvia's northern neighbor, becoming Estonia's first female president.
