WATCH: 'Making sanctions work' conference

March 19 sees a major conference taking place in Rīga on the subject of international sanctions – and you can watch it in English here on LSM.  

The timing of the conference is significant as from April, 2024, the Financial Intelligence Unit of Latvia (FIU Latvia) will become the national competent authority in Latvia for the implementation of EU sanctions. To mark the occasion and emphasize new roles and responsibilities, FIU Latvia in cooperation with the Centre for Financial Crime and Security Studies at the UK's Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) and the Latvian Institute of International Affairs (LIIA) is organizing hybrid conference, the agenda of which you can find below.
