Eurofighters will be on low-altitude training runs over Latvia

Take note – story published 1 year ago

From August 29 to September 12, Eurofighter jets belonging to the air forces of Latvia's allies will conduct low-level training flights in the vicinity of the National Armed Forces military airfield at Lielvārde in Ogre region.

The training flights are planned in advance and take place regularly both during daylight hours and after dark.

The National Armed Forces (NBS) reminds the public that in Latvian airspace, military flights take place at the height and speed specified in the regulatory acts, therefore the noise generated is temporary and does not cause damage to people and property.

The NBS calls on citizens not to be alarmed and to treat the ongoing activities with understanding, as they are aimed at strengthening the national defense.
