HIMARS launches in Latvia

Take note – story published 2 years ago

The United States embassy in Latvia posted footage September 28 of the famous HIMARS rocket system being fired during exercises in Latvia.

As previously reported, two M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) were deployed in Latvia this week, one in Rīga and one in Liepāja to display their mobility and flexibility as part of ongoing military drills.

Originally it had been planned to live-fire one of the HIMARS systems on Monday, but circumstances conspired to prevent that. As previously reported, Latvia is in the early stages of negotiations to buy HIMARS of its own.
