A series of short films is being published online providing an introduction to the Livonian language, indigenous to a few remaining parts of Latvia and considered one of the most endangered languages in the world.
The videos are produced by the Livonian Institute of the University of Latvia and come with English-language subtitles. They are available on the Livonian Institute's YouTube channel.
At the time of writing two have been published so far in a series of seven.
