Of the new cases, 526 cases were unvaccinated persons, or persons not fully vaccinated, and 348 were fully vaccinated. The total number of cases detected since the start of the pandemic now stands at 251,006.
Of the 10,848 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 8.1% were positive. The 14-day cumulative morbidity rate per 100,000 population fell from 706 Thursday to 678 Friday.

Unfortunately, 30 more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed Friday. All of the victims were aged over 40 years. Five of the fatalities were fully vaccinated individuals. The total death toll since the start of the pandemic now stands at 4,113.
Friday data show 941 patients being treated in hospital with 178 patients displaying serious symptoms.
Meanwhile in Estonia 636 new cases and 8 deaths were reported during the last 24 hours and in Lithuania the figures were 2,002 new cases and 14 deaths.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
