70% of Latvian population have begun vaccination

70.73% of the population has started vaccination against Covid-19 in Latvia, according to LETA estimates of January 21 based on the National Health Service and the Central Statistical Bureau.

According to data from the CSB, there were 1,882,200 inhabitants in Latvia at the beginning of July 2021. LETA estimates show that the vaccination process has been completed by 68.09% of the population.

21.12% of the population has also received a booster vaccine. Among those who have completed the vaccination process, 31% have the booster.

On Thursday, 7,028 people were vaccinated against Covid-19 in Latvia, the majority of which got the booster. Only 630 people got the first dose.
