Covid-19 hospital fill currently at 60% in Latvia

Currently, there are 2,214 beds in hospitals for treatment of Covid-19 patients, of which 60% are occupied, according to information provided by the Ministry of Health to the government on November 16.

During the week, the number of Covid-19 beds available in hospitals increased by 2%, from 2,162 to 2,214.

The ministry indicated that the fill of Covid-19 beds had stabilized. Currently, an average of 60% of Covid-19 beds are occupied, and the indicator applies to both department and intensive care unit beds.

Health Minister Daniels Pavluts said that the stabilization of the situation will allow the hospitals to gradually restore treatment of other patients.
