The last seven days show an increase of 10.6%, or an average of 616 new infections per day. The number of patients in hospitals is also gradually increasing, SPKC pointed out. On Wednesday, the number climbed as high as 967.
Data from the National Health Service (NVD) show that in recent weeks younger patients are being treated in hospitals, a similar trend is observed also in intensive treatment departments.
As the national holiday approaches, the experts point out that safety measures put in place must still be observed to prevent the spread of morbidity. The SPKC calls on every resident to comply with these safety measures.
