COVID-19 reaches University of Latvia

Take note – story published 3 years ago

COVID-19 infection has been found in two students of the University of Latvia's (LU) Faculty of History and Philosophy, LETA said October 6.

Several students and teachers are in self-isolation. LU said all additional security measures had been taken to find out contact persons, remote studies, and room disinfection.

The University also said that these students had been infected outside the university, and there was no information they had been at the faculty on Monday, October 5. To be safe, the faculty of History and Philosophy now works remotely.

Faculty of Business, Leadership and Economics is in the same building, but LU said there is no grounds for this faculty to work remotely, as student  flow is organized so that they do not meet.
