Of the newly-confirmed cases, 304 cases were recorded in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people, while 656 were fully vaccinated.
Out of 5,259 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, 18.3% were positive. The 14-day cumulative incidence rate per 100,000 of the population declined further from 1,176 Thursday to 1,078 Friday.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 807,358 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.

Three more Covid-related deaths were also confirmed. All fatalities were aged over 50 years. The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 5,658.
Thursday hospital data from the National Health Service show 633 patients being treated in hospitals (down on 662 the previous day). 74 patients were admitted and 90 were discharged during the previous 24 hours. 27 patients are displaying serious symptoms.

If you have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19, or you have fully recovered from a confirmed case of it, you can obtain a digital certificate attesting to your status at the website https://covid19sertifikats.lv.
Latvia is also part of the European Union's wider Covid-19 certification scheme.
