Since the beginning of the pandemic, 895,513 Covid-19 cases have now been recorded among Latvia's 1.9 million population.
The total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 5,937. Both of the latest victims were aged over 50 years.
Thursday hospital data from the National Health Service (NVD) show 258 patients being treated in hospitals, 12 of whom are displaying serious symptoms.
