"The coolest things about classflow are new friends and a nice teacher,” says a boy from Sweden, who has been learning Latvian on LVA's distance learning course for quite some time already. During the2018./2019. school year, 123 children from 28 countries studied Latvian on the course.

The registration for the 2019./2020. Latvian course has already begun. Diaspora children aged 7–8 and with different levels of proficiency in Latvian are invited to attend the course.

The Latvian language distance learning course is financed by the LVA from the Ministry of Education and Science (IZM) budget program “State Language Policy and Administration”. Classes are held twice a week under the guidance of professional Latvian teachers. The lessons use Skype, Zoom, or other online communication applications, while the lesson materials are prepared and posted on the lva.classflow.lv online platform.

The most important requirement for a child to participate on the course is sufficient internet speed. Before applying, it is thus advisable to measure the speed of the internet in your home and read the terms and conditions of the course on the LVA home page.
