Call for donations to set up charity shop

The association “Your Friends” invites residents of Latvia to donate clothing, footwear, interior objects, books, and other things in good condition for the creation of a charity shop, according to information published by the association January 9.

“Your Friends” charity shop will open in the next few months in the center of Rīga and will be a platform for converting donations into funding to support Ukraine's war hospitals and Latvian residents in crisis situations.

“As the full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for almost two years, we are looking for ever-new ways to attract donations and provide the Ukrainian army and civilians with what they need. The charity shop will open up more possibilities for providing financial donations to our charitable projects – both the Ukrainian army and Latvian residents who are in distress. From now on, we will sort all donations received in our hangar, Ventspils Street 50, by selecting good-for-sale items that will get a second life on the shelves of our charity shop,“ said Ulvis Noviks, head of the association “Your Friends.”

“Your Friends” invites the public to donate clothing, footwear, bags, and other accessories of any style, books (except books issued in large volumes during the Soviet period), toys, furniture, dishes, jewellery, and other items fit for sale.

Donations to the charity shop together with other donations in support of Ukraine are accepted at the hangar of the association “Your Friends” in Rīga, Ventspils Street 50, on working days from 10 to 18 and on Saturdays 10 to 16.
