Toxic toy slime withdrawn from market in Latvia

Due to excessive amounts of toxic elements, the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) has withdrawn the children's toy – slime – distributed from the market company “Neo Toys”, according to the PTAC's information on October 31.

A problem has been found with the toy “Masa Plastyczna”, “Pegaz Toys”, EAN 5907544118183, of the Chinese producer Yiwu Junhao Toys Factory: the migration of toxic elements boron and organic tin from the toy's pink-coloured slime mass exceeds the maximum limit values for migration of these elements, which may cause harm to the health of the user.

People who purchased this toy at the Neo Toys shop on Matīsa Street 25, Rīga, have been asked to contact the store by emailing [email protected].

To get back the amount of money paid for the toy, return the item to the store.
