Latvian border guards stepping up checks

Latvia's State Border Guard said May 26 it was stepping up checks at the national border in order to guard against potential human trafficking in Ukrainian nationals.

"In order to reduce the risks of trafficking in Ukrainian nationals, border guards at the internal borders are stepping up immigration control measures to identify those who may be affected. 265 people and 39 vehicles were inspected during  the last day," said a border guard tweet.
