Learning Latvian the fun way
On October 28, at Wagon Hall (Vagonu Halle, Vagonu Street 19/21) the band Pizdets I Meyk the Hevi Metāls along with musicians Rinalds Maksimovs, Alise Golovacka and Ilvis Faulbaums, as well as a small choir, will perform a concert program Pizdets I meyk the hevi metāls learn Latvian language. The concert will be presented in the format of language learning dialogues, with songs in Latvian, Bulgarian, German, French, English, Italian and Turkish languages. The spoken language of the concert will be Latvian.
"Latvian is not that difficult! "Pizdets I Meyk the Hevi Metāls" member Alexander Mathewson has proven this by learning the language at a conversational level in two months," says the event description.
The concert begins at 20:00.
Pumpkins
On October 30, 10:00 to 16:00, a Pumpkin Celebration takes place at the Āgenskalns Market. Not only will various varieties of pumpkin be available for tasting, viewing, and buying, but also apple dishes, drinks, and other goods. Entrance is free.
Spooky cinema
The Baltic Analog Lab (BAL) hosts a spooky cinema session on October 28, 19:00, which will show historical films of unknown authors found in the BAL archive, whose secrets will be exposed by an invited psychic, interpreting the characters and events in the film.
