Traffic-free Tērbatas Street events this week

As of Thursday, August 6, the temporarily traffic-free Tērbatas Street and Vidzemes Market offers a variety of activities and entertainment, said Rīga City Council August 5.

Rīga City Council asks visitors to be responsible and take care of personal safety, to use the app "Stop COVID", observe the two-meter distance and avoid crowding.

On Thursday, August 6, at 19:00-20:00, in the yard of Natālija Draudziņa School, artist Ilze Aulmane will give an audio-visual dance performance.

Friday, August 7, at 20:00, the school yard will host a round of brain games, whereas from 16:00 to 22:00 at Tērbatas Street 15/17 there will be a musical performance by "Biit Me Riga" vinyl store, DJ Selektārs Krosfāters and Ndrew.

On the weekend, Saturday and Sunday 12:00-14:00, families with kids are invited to Riga Circus School activities in the Natālija Draudziņa School yard, where kids will be able to participate in Poi tradition and giant bubble workshops.

Saturday and Sunday at 14:00-15:00 there will also be a parade by Riga Circus. At Tērbatas 15/17, farmers market will take place with the musical accompaniment by "Shakeshooka".

On Saturday, 17:00, there will be a discussion held by "Satori" on the topic "Does Riga need neighborhoods?" in Latvian.

At Vidzemes Market, on Saturday 12:00 there will be a puppet theater performance for children, followed by a musical program for children at 13:20 (singers Laima Miltiņa and Elīna Čampere).

Sunday August 9, Vidzemes Market, will host a "Scienfic Theater" performance by Laboratorium.lv at 12:00, and at 13:00 a musical puppet theater for children.

The events taking place in the Natālija Draudziņa school yard has a limited number of visitors due to epidemiological safety.
