The Baltic states are center stage at the London Book Fair taking place in the English capital April 10-12. As well as the trade fair itself, a wide program of linked events at various locations are promoting Latvian culture and business. LSM editor Mike Collier will bring you a series of audio reports from participants and visitors.

Toms Treibergs is both an extremely talented poet and, in his role as a broadcaster, one of the leading advocates for poetry in Latvia with TV and radio shows exploring the poetic possibilities that abound in the country. As he tells LSM, as well as fulfilling his professional duties, the London Book Fair gave him a chance to fulfill a personal wish - to meet renowned Lithuanian poet Tomas Venclova, whom he has long admired.
