Two of Europe's most beautiful capitals are set to gain a new link with the announcement of a new bus service that will join Riga and Budapest.

Estonian company Lux Express will start operating a regular bus line between Tallinn and Budapest, capital of Hungary, via Riga on August 1.

"It is going to be the Lux Express line Tallinn-Riga-Vilnius-Warsaw-Krakow-Budapest. The first departure will be from Tallinn on August 1," Lux Express spokesperson Marina Bachmann told the BNS newswire.

"The full price of a Tallinn-Budapest ticket is 50 euros," she said.

The Estonian Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications issued an international bus line operating permit for the Tallinn-Budapest line to Lux Express on July 21.

CEO of Lux Express Hannes Saarpuu told BNS in June that Estonian passengers traveling to Budapest would have to switch buses in the middle of the route just like on trips to Prague and Berlin since the route will be so long that one bus crew would not be able to serve the passengers in the course of the whole trip.
