Straujuma told media representatives that FICIL's annual report is to the point, constructive, and pragmatic.
These documents will be forwarded to the respective ministers, while a representative of the prime minister's office will contact FICIL's executive director Girts Greiskalns to organize joint meetings, involving experts from the ministry and FICIL representatives.
"An action plan will be drawn up to address specific matters. These are the tasks that have to be done," said the prime minister. She added that the same method was used in work with the previous recommendations. At the same time, Straujuma said that working with some ministries is easy, while with others - not so much.
When meeting with foreign investors, the most important topic of the discussions concerned the quality of workforce, including re-emigration and the education system. Higher education reforms are also very important.
The second most topical matter discussed with foreign investors concerned the legal system and insolvency process. "It was nice to hear that a lot of work has been done in this regard, but we have set ourselves new goals as well," said the prime minister.
Among other matters that were discussed were reduction of shadow economy, improvement of the healthcare system, and work with civil servants.
