Take note – story published 2 years and 4 months ago

Monday, June 13 sees the annual presentation of foreign investors' mood in Latvia – a factor that always comes into play as Saeima elections approach.

For the seventh consecutive year, the Foreign Investors Council in Latvia (FICIL) presents the foreign investors’ assessment of the business environment in Latvia, taking a closer look at developments regarding EU Green deal implementation, tax system, labour force availability and skills, public sector reform as well as other key topics of concern.

Researcher Dr. Arnis Sauka will give a brief overview of the main results of FICIL Sentiment Index 2021 research and journalist Jānis Domburs will moderate a discussion among 7 political party representatives and investors.

The focus of the research and the public debate will be on the upcoming election of Saeima in October 2022. Investors answered questions evaluating the policy makers work over the last 4 years as well as what challenges the business environment could expect in the upcoming years.

Here on LSM we will have an English-language livestream of the event for you, from 10:00 on Monday, June 13.

The Foreign Investors’ Council in Latvia (FICIL) is a non-governmental organisation that brings together the largest companies from various countries and sectors that have made significant investments in Latvia, as well as ten foreign chambers of commerce.
