NATO STRATCOMCOE checking fact checking

The Rīga-based NATO Strategic Communications Center of Excellence (STRATCOMCOE) returns with another online discussion January 20, with the topics of fact-checking and debunking in the frame.

"Questions remain over the effectiveness of two key responses to online disinformation, fact-checking and debunking. Join the authors of our upcoming report to look at who is doing what, and how efforts might be evaluated," STRATCOMCOE invites the public.

Participants will be lead researcher Anneli Kimber-Lindwall, James Pamment of Lund University and Mark Peebles who is Chief Public Affairs with Task Force Latvia.

The event will be livestreamed on at 16:00 Rīga time (GMT+2) on Facebook and YouTube and is the tenth episode of the StratCom Talks virtual series.
