To address the challenges of the coronavirus pandemic and the medium-term work on European economic recovery, and the launch of a review of the European Union's (EU) trade policy, an online discussion “European Union Trade Policy Review” organized by the European Commission Representation in Latvia will take place with the participation of Dombrovskis, Rihards Kols (Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Saeima), Zanda Kalniņa - Lukaševiča (Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and Normunds Bergs (Chairman of the SAF Technical Board, Member of the Council of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry).

"The aim of the trade policy review is to assess how trade policy can contribute to speed and sustainable socio-economic recovery by strengthening competitiveness and how trade policy can strengthen the European Union's global leadership," said organizers ahead of the event.
